Pupils at Norwell Primary School start their day with an ACTIVATE warm up. Brain exercises and movement based activities can enhance learning and are instrumental in the classrooms today
On Tuesday mornings (08:15 - 08:45) pupils can attend Touch Typing
Friday evening is the Film and Music Theatre.
East Markham Primary School
As the season moves from autumn to winter, the weather deteriorates and a group of parents get together at East Markham School to organise a lunch time craft club.
The autumn term of 2008 saw the club into its second year, operating one lunch time per week over 8 weeks in total. It is run on a non-profit making basis charging 50p a week to cover the costs of materials. In 2008 the children made pom pom animals based on a Christmas theme. This proved very popular with attendance of 70 children over the 8 weeks. What was most surprising was how popular the activities have been with children from all age groups within the school and with both boys and girls.
It was great to see the children proudly taking their creations home and hopefully the club will continue in 2009. Its success so far has been due to the dedication of the parent helpers, the support of staff and the ongoing enthusiasm of the children.
